Abstract

Changes in land use almost occur in every area generally due to the increasing number of residents and due to regional developments to meet the needs of community facilities and infrastructure, including in Wedi District. In a period of 6 years the productivity of agricultural products in Wedi District has decreased by 3.810,000 tons. Changes in land use in Wedi District are dominated by changes in the use of paddy fields into settlements. This study aims to (1) analyze the distribution of land use change in Wedi Subdistrict, Klaten Regency in 2015 and 2021, (2) Analyze the distribution pattern of land use change in Wedi Subdistrict, Klaten Regency in 2015 and 2021, and (3) Analyze the direction of change land use in Wedi District, Klaten Regency. The method used in this research is the method of visual interpretation of remote sensing images equipped with a survey. Sampling using purposive sampling method. The analysis of land use change research is carried out by utilizing GIS technology, namely Overlay land use maps in 2015 and land use maps in 2021. Analysis of the distribution pattern of land use changes that occur uses the Nearest Neighbor Analysis method. Analysis of the direction of land change development using the Standard Deviational Ellipse (SDE) method. Changes in land use in Wedi District within a period of 6 years, namely 2015 and 2021, there was a change in land use covering an area of 30.11 hectares. Changes in land use occurred in all villages, but the most frequent changes occurred in Pandes Village, Kalitengah Village and Canan Village. The distribution pattern of land use changes that occur in Wedi District is included in the cluster classification, with a Nearest Neighbor Ratio (NNR) value of 0.621575, a Z-Score value of -10.78 meters or not close to 0.00. The direction of development of land use change in Wedi District tends to be east-southeast or Jiwowetan Village.
