Abstract
Land use change is a change in the way land is used for commercial or industrial. One of the factors that often causes changes in land use in an area is population growth followed by residential growth. The research was conducted in Polokarto District, Sukoharjo Regency. The purpose of the study was to analyze the distribution of changes in agricultural land use to settlements in 2010 and 2020, and to analyze the pattern of changes in agricultural land use in Polokarto Regency using GIS applications. Researchers use survey data in the form of results Survey and Image Interpretation, while the secondary data needed for this research uses Landsat 7 and 8 images, population data from Polokarto District, and digital data on administrative boundaries of Polokarto District, Sukoharjo Regency through related agencies. The research method used is a qualitative method to analyze the distribution of changes in agricultural land use into settlements in 2010 and 2020. This is done by Interpretation, Digitization, Validation Test, And Overlay. Method Average Nearest Neighbor Analysis can be used to analyze the pattern of changes irrigated rice field into settlements. The results of this research found that the most common land use change in 2010 and 2020 was irrigated rice fields that developed into settlements, with an area of 182.18 ha. This pattern was found to be clustered, with a value of 0.412245 spread throughout Polokarto District.
