Abstract

Cement is an important component in the making of concrete mixture, namely as a binder between aggregates. This causes cement production to increase rapidly have a negative impact on the environment. Seeing these problems, to minimize the impact of the use of cement in that study, lime powder was substituted as an alternative for cement in the concrete mixture, lime powder was chosen because it is plastic, which can harden quickly so that it has good binding properties to particles, easy to work with, non-processing. factory and create a fairly good bond. In this final project using an experimental method have a goal to get the characteristics concrete by substituting quicklime powder with 0%, 15%, and 17.5% replace cement in concrete mixture at the age of 3,7,14,21, and 28 days against testing compressive strength, absorption and density of concrete. The third refers to SNI 1974-2011 for compressive strength with specimens with a height of 30 cm & a diameter of 15 cm, SNI 03-6433-2000 for air absorption with a test object with a height of 5 cm & a of diameter 15 cm and SNI 1973-2008 for specific gravity of concrete with The test object is 30 cm in high & 15 cm diameter. Reflecting on the test output, the optimal compressive strength test results from variations of 15% quicklime powder on concrete aged 21 days, namely 21.78 Mpa and 26.14 Mpa at 28 days, the minimum water absorption from variations of 15% quicklime powder is 4.416% and weight the minimum variation of 0% quicklime powder is 2.30 grams, the more lime mixture, the heavier the concrete density.
