Abstract
The motorcycle repair industry is one of the industries that is experiencing very rapid growth. So that the rapid development of the motorcycle repair industry will result in a higher impact of OHS risks by workers. The motorcycle repair shop industry on average grows and operates in the non-formal sector. One of the workplace accidents involving mechanics in motorcycle repair shops is slipping, scratching hands, pinching, falling under pliers, screwdrivers and other tools. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the incidence of work accidents in motorcycle mechanic workers in the Ceper Klaten area. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using total sampling technique with a total sample of 38 workers. Statistical test using chi-square correlation test. This study shows that there is no relationship between knowledge and the incidence of work accidents, the p-value is 0.73> 0.05. And also shows that there is no relationship between attitude and the incidence of work accidents obtained p-value 0.573>0.05. There is no relationship between knowledge and attitude with the incidence of work accidents in motorcycle repair workers. Workers are expected to have awareness that using PPE and maintaining a safe work environment is important in working not only as a culture but has become a mandatory requirement for workers because it can protect workers from dangers and risks that will arise in the workplace.
