Abstract

Issues related to social issues have become daily consumption in all social life, especially those related to poverty and social inequality which have several impacts. One of them is the process of marginalization that forms one of the PGOT groups and street or abandoned children. One thing that is not only a concern for the central government but for each region, including the city of Surakarta. The poverty rate increased in the period 2019-2021 so that the marginalization process was back on the rise, in fact there were already prohibition rules and were considered useless. However, this process is formed because of the business in continuing to live that depends on economic income in the family. Then the power of insight and potential possessed is low so that the efforts made are not optimal. Efforts to support this urgency by increasing human resources and community welfare through improving the mindset and quality of people who are intelligent, innovative, creative, and enthusiastic are manifested in shelter-based community empowerment facilities, especially for marginalized people who are unable to accommodate the spirit and desires of the community. them to be able to continue their life with the support of a positive movement in order to form a more qualified person. The concept of Edu-Social and Humanity is formed from ideas and thoughts forming an environment that increases social interaction and curiosity about education in it, which is supported by the emphasis on human relationships and needs in design. The result of the design is a center for empowering marginalized communities, especially PGOT and street children based on a halfway house that can accommodate many formal and non-formal training facilities such as crafts, cultural arts, culinary arts to agriculture and animal husbandry so that each can develop their interests and talents freely in their own space. a scope that spurs the formation of a positive interactive social environment and makes sure of the negative stigma among others and with the general public.
