Abstract
Water is the main component needed by every living thing for growth. Water has a variety of mineral content based on its type. Each type of water has advantages in helping plant growth. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the type of water on the growth of green bean plants and to determine the most effective type of water for the growth of green bean plants. The method used in this study is an experimental method using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of one factor, namely the type of water. The water used is rain water, well water, PDAM water, molasses water, bottled mineral water and rice washing water. The results showed that the fastest growth of mung bean was watered with mineral water with a plant height growth of 16.17 cm and leaf growth of 8 leaves, while the growth of mung bean was delayed by watering with molasses water with a plant height growth of 10.73 cm and a growth of 10.73 cm. 4 leaves.
