Abstract

Faith is something that needs to be believed in the heart, spoken orally and practiced with the tongue. Islam is the only religion that emphasizes Allah, and this faith is the measure of human beings before Allah swt. The opposite of faith is syirik or associating Allah swt with his creatures. The form of syirik developed over time, which was originally in the time of the prophet Noah by worshiping idols, and now developed syirik with science and this was pioneered by the western world, apart from reason, lust also became one of the phenomena of syirik against God in nowadays. Muhammadiyah as an Islamic organization has a tafsir product that explains the syirik of QS Al-baqarah ayat 21-22, namely the tafsir of At-tanwir. From the tafsir, it is hoped to explain the tafsir of QS Al-baqarah ayat 21-22. This study aims to determine the form of syirik practice according to tafsir at-tanwir in surah al-baqarah ayat 21-22. This study is a literature study, data collection methods using the collection of information and data sourced from the literature related to the research, as well as in analyzing the data using descriptive analysis. The results of this study can be concluded as follows: In Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 21-22 This verse belongs to the category that discusses syirik because there is a sentence (فَلَا تَجْعَلُوْا لِلّٰهِ اَنْدَادًا) which has the meaning of prohibition of associating partners with Allah SWT or commonly known as syirik. In the verse, God calls the three groups mentioned earlier to worship God without having to associate anything with him. Because Allah swt has created the heavens, the earth, sent rain and provided sustenance to human beings. Muhammadiyah organization itself has a meaning in worship as well as the verse of Al-Qur’an QS Az-zariyat verse 56. Muhammadiyah, in the interpretation of At-Tanwir gives the meaning of worship is taqarrub or approaching God by avoiding all prohibitions and obeying all his commands. The act of syirik is the opposite of the believer, the act of syirik makes this believer can not even be accepted by his faith, and the form of syirik in the past with the present is different, there is also the same, in the pre -prophetic period and the prophetic period this form of syirik occurs in the city of Makkah in the form of idol worship among the idols are Al-Lata Al-'Uzza, Hubal and manata. In modern times there are two forms of syirik practice in the tafsir of At-Tanwir. The first is that people prefer to put their own minds, seek the truth, or determine a law not through the Qur’an that God sent down and the Sunnah of the Prophet, but rely on their minds. Second, people prefer to deify lust. The form of syirik is not only limited to matters of worship, but how the mindset (secularism, hedonism) can fall into the category of syirik. In the old days, when people worshiped trees, the statue was syirik, different from today with the mind that we use this can make us syirik. That is, by not making God the only substance that is worshiped, but the property that we love and too glorify the intellect.
