Abstract

The purpose of this research is to use technology properly in borrowing space and laboratory equipment for UM geography by developing a website-based information system using the MVC (Model View Controller) concept. This research method uses Waterfall or the linear sequential method (linear sequential) by applying the stages of the Analysis Phase, Design Phase, Implementation Phase, and Maintenance Phase. The first information system, the black box tester, got 100% results from 10 users, while the performance test got 94% results in the grade B category. The second was tested on two media experts, lecturers at the Faculty of Geography, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta to determine the effectiveness of the website from 19 items, which has a V value of 0. .67 to the upper limit of 0.82 that the website developed by the researcher is consistent and valid. It is said to be valid because it is in accordance with the Aiken V table. Reliability shows the results of Cronbach's alpha of 968 which is categorized as very strong reliability. While the test on 20 active students of the Faculty of Geography, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta who got 82.25 results showed the website was acceptable. The conclusion of this research is that the information system for borrowing room and laboratory equipment can be used.
