Abstract

Abstrak Kondisi eksisting Perpustakaan Solo yang menjadi satu dengan Dinas Kearsipan Kota Surakarta membuat perpustakaan kurang memenuhi baik fasilitas maupun kenyamanan perpustakaan. Hal tersebut menjadi suatu permasalahan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan beberapacara alternatif agar perpustakaan tersebut dapat memenuhi segala aspek yang dibutuhkan pengguna, salah satunya adalah dengan pembangunan perpustakaan umum. Dengan melakukan pendekatan Kenyamanan Visual melalui Pencahayaan Alami, dilakukan metode berupa simulasi serta perhitungan cahaya masuk kedalam bangunan untuk menghasilkan cahaya sebesar 300 Lux. “Solo Library Centre dengan pendekatan Visual Comfort melalui Natural Lighting” adalah sebuah perpustakaan di kota Solo sebagai pusat wadah minat masyarakat dalam membaca dan mencari ilmu yang diimbangi dengan penyesuaian kenyamanan visual oleh pencahayaan alami melalui sinar matahari. Kata Kunci: Kenyamanan Visual, Pencahayaan Alami, Perpustakaan Abstract The existing condition of the Solo Library which is integrated with the Surakarta City Archives Service makes the library less fulfilling both the facilities and the convenience of the library. This becomes a problem. To overcome this, it is necessary to do several alternative ways so that the library can meet all the aspects needed by users, one of which is the construction of a public library. By taking a visual comfort approach through natural lighting, a simulation method and calculation of light entering the building are carried out to produce 300 Lux of light. “Solo Library Center with a Visual Comfort approach through Natural Lighting” is a library in the city of Solo as a center for public interest in reading and seeking knowledge which is balanced with adjustments to visual comfort by natural lighting through sunlight.
