Abstract

Background : Covid-19 is an infectious disease that attacks the respiratory system acutely caused by Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 or SARS-CoV02). Heart failure is the most common comorbid disease experienced by patients infected with the Covid-19 virus. Patients with heart failure will experience physical and psychological changes due to limited physical activity that causes stress, anxiety, and difficulty controlling emotions. Objective : Knowing the description of the problem of psychological conditions in patients with heart failure during the Covid-19 pandemic. Knowing the characteristics of respondents with heart failure at the Salatiga City Hospital. To know the level of stress, anxiety, and depression in heart failure patients at the Salatiga City Hospital. Analyzing psychological problems in heart failure patients at the Salatiga City Hospital. Methods : The type of research used in this research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples involved in this study were 135 using the accidental sampling method. The questionnaire used in this study was the DASS 42 questionnaire. Results: The average stress of 109 respondents (81.4%) experienced normal stress. The biggest anxiety of respondents in this study was moderate anxiety by 100 respondents (74.1%). The largest depression of respondents in this study was mild depression of 78 respondents (57.7%). Conclusion : The majority of respondents' stress levels are normal, while the majority of respondents' anxiety levels are moderate, and the majority of respondents' depression levels are mild depression.
