Abstract

Burnout is an effect caused by emotional fatigue that accumulates and is experienced by workers. Meanwhile, productivity is an indicator of the success of employee performance in a company. Both monotonous and non-monotonous work can have an influence on employee burnout and work productivity. This study aims to determine the difference in the level of burnout and work productivity between monotonous and non-monotonous work in. PT. DMST I Sragen. This research method is an observational study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 88 respondents. Data analysis using Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the level of burnout between monotonous and non-monotonous work (p = 0.000) and the level of burnout of monotonous workers (Mean = 50,8), as well as a significant difference in work productivity between monotonous and non-monotonous work (p = 0.003 ) with monotonous worker productivity (Mean = 59.3) and non-monotonous worker productivity (Mean = 57.4). The highest level of burnout for monotonous workers in the medium category and the highest non-monotonous workers are in the low category. While the work productivity of monotonous and non-monotonous workers is highest in the high category. It was concluded that there were differences in the level of burnout and work productivity between monotonous and non-monotonous work. It is recommended that the company can give a break of 5-10 minutes after working for 2-3 hours non-stop
