Abstract

At this time Instagram social media can be used to find the information that is needed. The presence of Instagram makes it easier to convey information from the communicator to the communicant. Instagram media is a sharing medium, where users are free to share information such as photos and videos accompanied by captions. This study focuses on two things, namely the communication strategy and management of the @beritacielgon Instagram account in providing updated information. This study uses a descriptive qualitative study. The technique used in determining the informants is purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques are by conducting interviews, observations, literature studies and documentation. The results of the study were obtained by means of data analysis techniques using SWOT analysis. The results of the study are the communication strategies carried out by the @beritacilegon instagram account, the first to divide the information into two, namely information at a glance and the Cilegon Onilne news report. Second, build trust in online or the Cilegon city community, with the trust from the community, @beritacilegon is increasingly known outside its regional area. The management process carried out is the existence of endorsement and paid promote activities as well as cooperating in terms of promotions, flexible working hours, having restrictions on the public who spam chat through the comments column on posts.
