Abstract

Foreign direct investment is an important indicator in a nation's economy. Foreign direct investment is one way to deal with the economic crisis. Foreign direct investment can stimulate economic activity and income nationally. This study aims to estimate the direction and magnitude of the influence of inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates on foreign investment in Indonesia during 2000-2020 using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression analysis tool. The results showed that the exchange rate had a positive effect on foreign investment, while inflation and interest rates did not affect foreign investment. The government is expected to carry out infrastructure development to support the national economy, so that in the end the economy can grow and attract foreign investors to invest in Indonesia.
