Abstract

Government policies have placed health workers at the greatest risk of contracting COVID-19 because they provide direct services to COVID-19 patients, thus making them more susceptible to infection, experiencing anxiety, and even stress. In hospital policy, there are regulations in the form of task demands in resolving work scope conflicts and are internal factors that affect the work anxiety of health workers. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of anxiety of health workers in carrying out their duties during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research with a descriptive correlative. The approach used in this research is cross sectional. Respondents were 36 health workers including nurses, doctors, midwives, and physiotherapists using the HAM A (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) questionnaire. This study uses a total sampling technique. The results showed that the overall level of anxiety of health workers at Arum Ndalu Hospital were 12 people (33.3%), moderate anxiety level 9 (25%), and 15 people with severe anxiety. (41.7%). Conclusion of this study that is most of the anxiety conditions are caused by worrying about being infected by friends or patients, worrying about transmitting it to family, and worrying about inadequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) so that health workers at Arum Ndalu Hospital can pay more attention to and improve mental well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic.
