Abstract

Ahmad Shukri/A310150136. EXPECTATIONS AND MOTIVATION IN THE STATE NOVEL 5 TOWERS BY AHMAD FUADI AND THEIR RELEVANCE IN LITERATURE LEARNING IN SCHOOL INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOLOGY APPROACH. Thesis. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. June 2022. This study aims to (1) describe the concept of hope contained in the novel Negeri 5 Menara, (2) describe the concept of motivation in the novel Negeri 5 Menara. The research used descriptive qualitative. (3) Describe the relevance of the novel Negeri 5 Menara in learning literature in schools. The data of this research are sentences and paragraphs that contain hope and motivation in the novel Negeri 5 Menara. The data source is Novel Negeri 5 Menara. Data collection techniques using library techniques and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate (1) Analysis of the building blocks of literature, the theme in the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi is hope, passion and struggle. (2) The value of motivation in the novel Negeri 5 Menara includes external motivation and internal motivation. External motivation is motivation that grows based on encouragement from other people. Internal motivation is motivation that grows from oneself. (3) Novel Negeri 5 Menara has a standard of eligibility as a literature learning material in schools because it is in accordance with the potential of students in learning literature. This is because the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi contains motivations that students can emulate.
