Abstract

League of legend: wildrift is a game that is in the MOBA game category, the purpose of this study is to find out how the self-concept of the game players regarding the perpetrators of Trash-talking. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the Self-Concept of Trash-talking actors in the game League of legend: wildrift? By using the theory of self-concept, this study wants to see how the self-concept of the perpetrators of Trash-talking in the game is. This research is included in qualitative research. The method used in this research is interviews and secondary data from research journals and the internet. The data obtained were analyzed using purposive sampling with the criteria of 5 people with an age range of 20-22 years. The validity technique in this research is triangulation of data sources. In this study, the results and discussion are based on the theory of self-concept which is divided into element I and element Me in trash-talking perpetrators. In the first element in the informant, it can be seen how trash-talking is used as an expression or a form of self-expression to express feelings of irritation. While on the "Me" element, the informant is more careful and limits self-expression when in the environment of family and friends.
