Abstract

This study aims to estimate the effect of tourism sector output, investment, number of workers, and inflation on the realization of local revenue in East Java province during the 2016-2020 period. The analytical method used is panel data regression with a random effect model approach, where the cross section data covers 38 districts/cities in East Java province and the time series data covers the years 2016-2020. The results of the study show that there is a positive effect of tourism sector output, investment, and the number of workers on local revenue. Meanwhile, inflation was found to have a negative effect on local revenue. Regarding the effect of independent variables on employment, the city of Surabaya tends to have the highest local revenue and Batu city tends to have the lowest local revenue.
