Abstract

Poverty is a problem for the welfare of individuals who have adequate opportunities and abilities to live a decent life. Islam offers a way to overcome poverty by working and paying tithe. The utilization of zakat is currently growing, not only focusing on the utilization of consumptive zakat, but it is time to develop productive zakat where the zakat funds will continue to grow and can be used for the long term. LazisMu Kab. Magelang is a Muhammadiyah-owned institution that focuses on managing zakat, infaq, and sadaqah funds. LazisMu has started to implement productive zakat to contribute in alleviating poverty through the program for farmers to rise up. in this study the author will examine how the utilization of productive zakat in the farmer rise program that has been implemented by LazisMu Kab. Magelang. The theory used by the researcher is zakat theory, productive zakat theory, productive zakat utilization theory. This type of research is field research, where the researcher conducts direct observations in the field. Data collection methods used by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the management of productive zakat utilization LazisMu Kab. Magelang covers Planning, Organizing, Placement, Directing, and Supervision. In this management LazisMu Kab. Magelang needs improvement in the organization and supervision of recipients of productive zakat funds.
