Abstract

Indonesia is one of the areas that are prone to landslides. Kemalang District, Klaten Regency, is one of the areas prone to landslides. Its location on the slopes of Mount Merapi makes this area has a diverse topography with slopes ranging from flat to very steep (>45%). This study has the objectives of 1) analyzing the level of landslide susceptibility in Kemalang District, 2) analyzing the spatial suitability between landslide points and the level of landslide susceptibility in 2016-2021, 3) analyzing the dominant factors that influence landslide susceptibility in the research area. This study uses a survey method. Sampling in this study using stratified random sampling method. The method of data analysis in this study used scoring/rating, map overlay, and frequency tables. Landslide susceptibility analysis uses 5 parameters including slope parameters, rainfall parameters, soil type parameters, geological parameters, and land use parameters. The results of this study are 1) the level of vulnerability to landslides which is divided into 3 classes of vulnerability, namely low, medium, and high. There are 8 land units of low vulnerability, namely V3-II-R-SB, V6-I-AND-L, V7-I-R-L, V7-I-AND-L, V7-I-L-P, V7-I-AND-P, V7-I -AND-LT, V7-I-AND-Sw, there are 17 land units of moderate vulnerability including V3-III-R-SB, V3-IV-R-SB, V4-III-R-SB, V4-II-R-L, V4-IVR-SB, V6-III-R-L, V6-III-L-SB, V6-II-L-L, V6-II-L-P, V6-I-L-P, V6-I-L-LT, V6-IVR- SB, V6-V-R-SB, V7-II-L-L, V7-II-R-L, V7-II-L-P, V7-II-R-P, and high vulnerability there are 11 land units namely V3-V-R-SB, V4-III- R-L, V4-II-R-P, V4-IV-R-L, V4-V-R-SB, V6-III-R-P, V6-III-R-LT, V6-IV-R-L, V6-IV-R-P, V7-III- RLT, V7-II-L-LT. 2) There is a spatial suitability between the landslide point and the level of vulnerability to landslides in 2016-2021 with the appropriate percentage of landslide area, which is 53,65%. 3) The dominant factor as a trigger for landslides in Kemalang District is the slope with a percentage of 51,72% and soil type with a percentage of 27,58%.
