Abstract

The Supreme Court Regulation Number 5 of 2019 concerning guidelines for adjudicating applications for a marriage dispensation is a new provision that regulates the procedure for examining cases of marriage dispensation which is different from the previous one. Courts must adhere to the new rules. This study aims to determine the differences before and after the issuance of Perma Number 5 of 2019 and its application in the decision of the marriage dispensation. This study uses a juridical-normative and descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that Perma Number 5 of 2019 has been applied in the decision of the marriage dispensation at the Surakarta Religious Court
