Abstract

Economic growth is an indicator of economic success in a country and a determinant of subsequent development policies. The success of a region's economic development process can be viewed from several existing economic sector growth and indicators that form the basis for assessing the success of economic growth. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of demographic factors consisting of population and the ratio of dependents and macro development indicators that include poverty, Regional Original Income (PAD) and investment on economic growth in West Nusa Tenggara Province in 2017-2020. This study uses secondary data with panel data regression analysis. Panel data is a combination of cross section and time series data. The model chosen in this study is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) after performing the Chow test and Hausman test. The results showed that the variables of population, the ratio of dependents and poverty had no effect on economic growth in the Province of West Nusa Tenggara, while the variables of local revenue (PAD) and investment had a positive effect on economic growth in the Province of West Nusa Tenggara. In contributing to economic growth local governments and other stakeholders need to taking into account the condition of the population, the ratio of dependents, local original income (PAD) and investment in both the long and short term.
