Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes are the final results that students have for conscious efforts that have been passed after the mathematics learning process so that behavior changes in the form of skills, attitudes, knowledge, and so on in a more positive direction. The purpose of this research are to examine. 1) Contribution of the learning motivation, learning facilities, and learning environment towards the learning independence in mathematic; 2) Contribution of learning independence on learning outcomes in mathematic; 3) Contribution of the learning motivation, learning facilities, and learning environment towards mathematics learning outcomes indirectly trough learning independence. This type of research is a kind of correlational study using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 287 students. The sampling technique using proportional random sampling by lottery. Sample in this research are 168 students. Data collection techniques using the method of documentation and questionnaire method. Analysis using path analysis. Based on data from students of SMP Negeri 9 Surakarta, mathematics learning outcomes, learning motivation, learning facilities, learning environment, and learning independence tend to fall into the medium category. The result of this study indicate that. 1) There is a contribution the learning motivation, learning facilities, and learning environment and significant the learning independence, with a contribution of 47.7%; 2) There is a significant contribution to the learning independence and learning outcomes of mathematic, with a contribution of 27.9%; 3) There is a contribution the learning motivation, learning facilities, and learning environment and significant impact on mathematics learning outcomes indirectly trough learning independence, with a contribution of 47.7%.
