Abstract

One of the risk factors for diabetes mellitus is activity. Lack of physical activity can increase the risk factors for diabetes and cause complications, namely peripheral artery disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between daily living activities and the incidence of peripheral artery disease diabetes. The research method used is quantitative correlation with cross sectional approach. The sample used in this study were 93 type 2 DM patients at the Sukoharjo Health Center. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Instruments used to record data using a questionnaire, sphygmomanometer, and stethoscope. The analysis used is Chi-Square. The results of this study are based on the Barthel index score, most DM patients have mild dependence and obtained a p-value of 0.034 (<0.05) which means that Ho is rejected so that there is a relationship between daily living activity and the incidence of peripheral artery disease diabetes in patients with diabetes mellitus. at the Sukoharjo Health Center with a correlation of -0.220, which means the lower the daily living activity level, the higher the risk of peripheral artery disease
