Abstract

Students are one of the elements who contribute to the nation's foundation for Indonesia. Based on Ristekdikti until 2019, the number of students themselves has reached 6,951,124 people throughout Indonesia. As the next nation's foundation, it should have an ideal character, especially for student activists who carry a reputation, especially for the political world. However, in reality, many students commit disgraceful acts, such as corruption. BPS released IPAK data for 2017-2018 which shows that Indonesian people have increasingly corrupt behavior despite increasing understanding of anti-corruption. Supported by the LSI national survey, the group of people who are more permissive to corruption is the youth than other age groups. This study aims to describe the perception of corrupt behavior in students who are active in organizations, using a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods using semi-structured online interviews related to corrupt behavior. Subjects are 3 college student activists determined by purposive sampling technique. The results of the research data concluded that student activists perceive corrupt behavior carried out by activist students in the form of acts of academic cheating (plagiarism, absenteeism, cheating), nepotism, extortion, fraud and bribery are actions that are commonly carried out and some are considered normal even though corrupt behaviour considered as adverse behaviour but the student activists continue to do it because it has become a common habit. The recommendation for further research is to expand the criteria for student activist respondents so the scope of perception is not only from the point of view of student activists who commit acts of corruption.
