Abstract

Public health care during the COVID-19 pandemic expected to overcome public health problems in overcoming the prevention and spread of the COVID-19 virus. Optimal health care program cannot be separated from the performance of nurses, for that it is necessary to know what relates to or affects the performance of nurses, by analysing the workload and motivation of nurses. If the heavy workload can cause the nurse's performance to decrease in providing health services, and vice versa. The high and low motivation nurses will affect their duties in service. This study aims to determine relationship between workload and motivation with performance of nurses’ public health care during the Covid 19 pandemic in Klaten District Health Center. The research method used quantitative with descriptive research design, cross sectional design method. The research location in Public Health Center in the Klaten District Office, population 220, sample 118 nurses, sampling technique was multistage sampling, data collection using questionnaire, data analysis used univariate, chi-square test and logistic regression test. The results of the research data the majority of nurses' workloads are moderate much 36 respondents (47.6%), 51.3% of nurses have moderate motivation while the performance of nurses is good as many 42 respondents(55.3%), the relationship between workload and nurse performance in the implementation of health care during the covid pandemic 19 0.019 < 0.05 and the relationship of motivation with the performance of nurses in the implementation of health care during the covid 19 pandemic 0.023 <0.05 of nurses. It was found that majority of respondents had a moderate workload and motivation and most of the nurses' performance was good, there was a relationship between workload and motivation variables with performance nurses in the implementation of public health during the covid 19 pandemic. The more dominant was motivation with Exp B= 8,217.
