Abstract

Scheduling is an important process in lectures which is carried out by filling a number of components in the form of courses, lecturers, classes, and semesters into timeslots containing time and space components. While the conditional class scheduling itself has an understanding where the class that can be used is a class that must have certain criteria by determining the number of room capacities and course hours so that there are no clashes in the courses. The scheduling system at Duta Bangsa University for the Wonogiri class is still manual, not yet effective, efficient, and can be used in the long term. Integer linear programming is a method that can model scheduling problems with various constraints that can be adapted to the needs of the university. The purpose of this study was to obtain the formulation of the constraint function, objective function, optimal solution, and sensitivity analysis in the application of integer linear programming for lecture scheduling and to obtain a better lecture schedule using the integer linear programming method. The results showed that the objective function and the constraint function in scheduling can be formulated so that the optimal solution is obtained. One of them is that there is no conflicting schedule for lecturers who teach more than one course.
