Abstract

Tawangmangu district is one of the sub-districts in Karanganyar Regency that has the potential for landslides. This research aims to find out the level of insecurity and distribution of landslide-prone areas in Tawangmangu Subdistrict, Karanganyar Regency. This study is a descriptive study conducted in Tawangmangu Subdistrict. The population in this study is the entire unit of land units in Tawangmangu Subdistrict consisting of 10 villages. The determination of samples in this study used the purposive random sampling method. Units of land units obtained through tumpang stacking (overlay) maps including land type maps and contour maps. Data retrieval methods are observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are by means of qualitative and quantitative descriptions through overlay analysis, the association of factors that affect landslides and the creation of classification tables. The results of this study are in the form of a map of the Tawangmangu District Landslide Insecurity Level 2020 and the 2020 Tawangmangu District Landslide Insecurity Area Distibution Map.
