Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal the class struggle representation in Miracle in Cell No.7 a film by Lee Hwan Kyung. This film analyzed by using Marxist perspective. This research uses descriptive qualitative method to analyze the sources of information and data from literary works. There are two types of data sources namely primary data and secondary data. The first data is primary data which is from the Miracle in Cell No.7 movie. The second data is secondary data which is from journals, and internet sources related to the study. This study analyzed by determining three objects: the first is analyzing the character of the main lead and analyzing the class struggle by using Marxist perspective and last is analyzing the educational value in the film. This film tells about the struggle of a daughter and her father who just an ordinary person that struggle for their life and fought for justice which they could not because of being opposed to a higher social class, and finally the struggle ends when the daughter grows up and becomes a successful persecutor.
